I would be very surprised if further stories about Dizaei were not to appear. He has probably been involved in many more dodgy dealings and his victims may now feel bold enough to come forward.

Unusual for a man of his racial and religious background to be corrupt, I wonder if there are others who have slipped from grace.

The Met commissioned a secret report that stated that Muslim/Asian police officers were more likely to be corrupt because of cultural and family pressures. Some time ago it was alleged that he was advising struck off solicitor Sean Mirankandani hoe to defend a client against a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.

Apparently the driver, a woman of Middle Eastern origin, hit a cyclist and drove off. Pieces of the car were later found in a scrap yard.

The Mail alleged that Dezaei was advising Mireskandani about weaknesses in the Met's case.

AFAIAA, this case has still not reached court, and I can find nothing about Dezaei's involvement, however, I suspect that he was cleared..

Disgraced M.P. Keith Vaz is inextricably linked to Mireskandari, even supporting his claim that he was being racially discriminated against by the SRA. Miresk is of course also linked to Dezaei and his Black Police Association.
