Toilet Training Before Starting School is either another of this Government's ill thought through policies or badly worded journalism.
As if mornings aren't fraught enough getting ready for school - may I suggest Toilet Training in the evening, perhaps after the evening meal?

Re: The Triple Lock
They are scrapping the Triple Lock to fund the new National Care Service - which will mean care for who needs It now, insufficient funds to continue, then higher taxation and poorer pensioners.

Re: Price of petrol
Soon after I passed my test in 1975, I remember the 50mph limit due to the fuel crisis - Oh what fun that was! 60mph on the motorway and 50mph on dual carriageway. At the time, the A1 had sections of motorway and the remainder dual carriageway. It was never a case of "Are we there yet?" - ...

If anyone is in the enviable position of having too few NI contributions for the full state pension, draw out and hide all savings and claim pension credit.

Re: An 'internet levy' for the BBC
I'm sure the Chinese could flood the UK market with Televisions without the necessary circuitry to receive BBC and live transmissions. People would buy them to show the detector van driver that they can't watch BBC. *A ten second delay would negate all live television. * Anyway, Is it live televisio...

Whenever I hear "Europe - Our closest trading partners", I have to correct it to "Europe - our closest trading competitors".
And guess what? - if we rejoin, they'll still be our closest trading competitors.

Re: Burnham's ten year 'mission'
There are two very small crumbs of comfort - Burnham cannot take office as PM and then say the financial situation is worse than thought and there is a £Xbn black hole. Also he is not a human rights lawyer. I predict his 'ten year plan' will last as long as starmers. (about 30 months) Oops! John He...

"You won't pay tax if your sole income is the basic state pension."
How the hell can anyone navigate throughout their working lives and not pay into a private pension or be on Pension Credit?
I believe the above initial statement applies to precisely NO-ONE.
But we're supposed to believe it.

Unions don't 'Die'.
But individuals do.
Recipients would pay 40% tax if they did.
Just sayin'.
Update - Political Parties are excempt, So What's the beef with Reform receiving donations?

Re: Beefeater bites the dust
We had a lovely venue near us - it was a Bernie Inn, Chef & Brewer, Table Table, Out & Out - don't know what it is now, but I do know it's £10 a pint...........
I give it 6 months.
