I need Legal help re Landlord and Tenant

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post. Could any of you chaps help me out with a legal question regarding the Landlord and Tenant Eviction process please? I'm the tenant and my family is being evicted from our house because the Landlord wants to sell up. We've been served a Section 21 and the...

Jeremy Vine. The master of facial indignation when 'the wrong sort of caller' gets through. I salute you. Vine is high on my hitlist, closely followed by the loathsome and unfunny Steve Wright and then the odious sycophantic ZoeBall, Ballers, bollocks. I can't stand that other scheming hag - Jo Wil...

Bloody brilliant band and video. Especially the nork reference.
What a sad place the world has become.

Re: 2020 what have you got planned for the New Year?

I wait eagerly for Mr D's reply to this thread like many wait for The Queen's Speech. Never fails to depress. We shall be spending the entire break looking after our dog who broke a ligament in her back leg while walking off a step in our garden. The cost was over £4000 so for the next few years, Ch...

Category 2 - Tradesmen. I have never, ever in my life met a Plumber, Electrician, Mechanic, Cooker Repair Man, Washing Machine Repair Man, Cycle Repair man, who wasn't a miserable knob and I'm an easy-going grumpy who makes them tea and all that bollocks but they are still impatient sweary sods who ...

Re: Vet bills.

My friend's dog ate a small bone on one of our walks and it felt unwell the next day, so went to the vet who operated on the stomach to try and remove it. Cost was just over £5000 and unfortunately the dog didn't make it. Mate had to sell his car. I would never have had a pet after reading some of t...

Re: Vet bills.

Thanks again Jethro.

Funny what you say about the Golfer. I went into ours expecting to meet James Herriot, ended up meeting Simon Cowell.

And the vet probably has more money.

I wish your daughter well and I hope she makes you very comfortable in your old age

Re: Vet bills.

I appreciate that Jethro, thanks. Might ease the pain a bit.

No disrespect to Vets or your daughter in my original post. Just the fees which I wasn't expecting or could afford.

Re: Vet bills.

Nice to see you Mr D.
There was a cat in the vets today for all of 5 minutes.
£175 for some jabs.
The owner had his wallet out and was rummaging through a few £10 notes to pay.
Nearly had a heart attack, poor bloke.

Vet bills.

How THE FECK can vets charge so much. My dog has torn a ligament in her leg, jumping off one the steps in our back garden. The cost to put this right, £4000. Pre and post op X-rays another £425 each. Painkillers £60 a box. Antibiotics £125 a box. Each weekly 10-minute visit to the vet, £50. No insur...

Me too, Mr D.

Big Mac, Large Fries, Vanilla shake. Cured many a hangover. I now have a more educated palate and I'm more of a Burger King man now.

I always found Bland to have an entertainingly dry sense of humour, as did Forest Grump. That's very kind of you Francis. I had always hoped that I had a dry sense of humour but no-one's ever told me that before. Now I know. I don't feel I'm half as intelligent or witty as most of you lot on here w...

Logs.

A forestry grump. Not long ago, I could buy half a tipper truck-load of mixed 2-year seasoned firewood logs including Apple and Cherry, neatly stacked in our woodshed by a very nice young man for £55. Would get us through the Winter, with a fire most days. Since moving to a house in a street covered...
