Re: What a complete cock up the UK is now.
As a paid up member of the Conservative Party, as well as being an activist and helper, I will be voting for the Brexit Party in the Euro elections. And I will not be lifting a finger to help the Conservatives in those elections - and I am far from alone in that!!!!! What of they cancel the Euro el...

Re: Venezuela
So what excuse will it be this time? 1. Well it isn't true socialism there 2. It isn't socialist enough there 3. The people at the top aren't following socialism 4. Blame it on foreign governments/capitalists/saboteurs 5. Socialism is young, and will take time to learn how to do it properly. It wil...

My thoughts are with one of the young lads involved in this protest. He had to be rushed to hospital today and was in a dreadful state.old git wrote: I would prefer they stay alive and suffer. That way you can be sure.
Apparently his parents had called him 20 minutes earlier and said they'd found him a job.

Re: 750 arrests.
However, my question is, how does being arrested affect someone? I know that one's dna and fingerprints are kept on file, and it can make it more expensive to get a visa for the USA, but does it bar a person from say, joining the police, becoming a solicitor, teacher, or an accountant, insuring one...

'It's not so difficult to see how instead of being in Cabinet, I could have been taken in to a life of crime.' I heard him say this and immediately thought - what an incredibly stupid thing to say. And even worse he's Home Secretary? Surely anyone who is worthy of being HS would never have turned t...

Re: Notre Dame Cathedral
I do believe the Government is hiding the truth about how many immigrants are living here - For them to hide it presupposes that they have any idea of the true figure. No one knows and never will. All we do know is that it is a huge figure, totally out of control and very expensive. The average kni...

I'm sorry Bob, but I must cry plagiarism on this ! When they rebuild it, the Minarets will look lovely. :D Yes, you were ahead of the game on that one. There seems to be a lot of similar feeling out there. As to the cause? Well.....Not arson they said - almost immediately - okey dokey.

They're going to rebuild it to reflect modern France apparently. Already the plans have been released.

At least there is some good news on the parking front. On 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of private parking companies. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persis...

Re: Hindsight
One of the MPs today pointed out that May's appetite for kicking the can of fudge down the road will cost the British tax payer £1 billion in "contributions" for every month she delays. The E.U. is a club we can't afford to belong to. (Only my take on it, though). They (the Establishment)...
