There isn't one

When I lived in Laindon (on the outskirts of Basildon) I would go north across the A127 to Billericay and Stock for my pint.

Thanks Uncle Mort,

Billericay it is then. Has to be better than 'Bas Vegas' as the locals lovingly call it!

Had a pint with Rob in Billericay last Thursday. Nice place (compared to Basildon where wouldn't be???) Red Lion, nice pint, good laugh with a fellow GOM. Couldn't ask for a better night.

Might do it again soon if Rob's up for it!
Thanks for the tip Uncle Mort.

Is the landlord still an improbably tall chap with the unlikely name of Tom Balls?

I met Haddock in Billericay last week. I said I'd be in the car park behind Waitrose. I said I'd turn up in my van. It's huge and it's yellow.

There I was, in the only van, and only yellow van in the place.

Some bloke was walking up and down, looking a bit lost. After he walked past the third time I decided to call Haddock's mobile. Sure enough, I could hear a phone ring close by, I looked in the mirror and there was a fella answering his mobile.........

'Is that you in the van?' I think he said !

:D :D

He is, to paraphrase Tim nice but Dim:

' A bloody nice bloke'.

Top night Rob, Looks like I will be back that way in Feb 07 (for 6 months). You up for it again? Anybody else fancy joining us?

Dunno about the landlord Nippy, but the barmaid was worth several!!! As Berek would say...I'd chuck one up her!
