Downstairs bar, at the table as per the first time. I shall try to resurrect my GOM graphic

I think I might try to make this as I am in London that day. Cheshire Cheese. Fleet Street area? Can' recall exact location right now.

Make sure I catch my train though!

The cheshire Cheese is in Fleet street. It's a very old buikding with several small bars. There is a lower bar which is larger than the others - if we're quick off the mark there is a large circular central table good for standing around.

All GOM's GOW's to carry an FT or a GOM 'willie' badge - EPP and Gripey failed to do so last time, resulting in me and one other GOM not spotting them

I am saddened to report that F.O. will not be in attendance due to a little local difficulty.

I will be there though  , but only till about 8.30 - so no chance to see me lose power of speech, control of facial muscles etc. this time...sorry!

Cheshire Cheese is actually on a little side alley (which leads to Gough Square) off Fleet Street but there is a name sign on Fleet Street itself - it is right next to Starbucks (although that is of limited help given the proliferation of said establishments in the area).

I refuse to buy an FT and have no idea what a willie badge is.I will steal an FT from a bus or train en route.

And so continues the slippery slope........

Penguin dinner tonight, leaving drinks tomorrow, dinner party Saturday, pub lunch booked for Sunday, wine tasting Tuesday, GOM booze up Wednesday.

Anyone got a spare liver going begging?

Oh and BTW Nick - it's an identification badge, a bit like this:

Not sure mine would be any improvement.

But I can invite you to a book launch on Monday night. Yours is looking a little empty.

It is very un-GOM behaviour to actually require an invitation!!

Caveat:

This is the London GOM chapter. Anyone coming from north of Watford (or outside the M25 come to that) must submit a formal application stating their reasons for wishing to attend.

Your acceptance or otherwise into this exclusive and upmarket event will be notified 48 hours before it starts.
