I thought Miss D was our only accredited Axe-killer. Did someone say she would be attending without TDA?

BTW

How can you look normal? By your own admission, you have charge of a small boy for most of the day. That alone would be cause for looking stressed if not worse.

No I am going to the London one on the 28th - on my own (if I'm allowed  ), and I won't have a clue how to recognise anyone either.

And as it seems I am no longer unique I may well have to reconsider my avatar

 Sorry to hear you will not be joining us Miss D, may I please I borrow your axe for the evening? They are beginning to worry me about the sort of neighbourhood this Cave/Pub is in.

One question, on a more serious note, if I may. Will we be eating and talking or just drinking and rambling? I would hate to turn up having stuffed my face before hand only to find we are all sharing a meal and equally I do not like the idea of a binge drinking session with no prior food. Is it a Pub restaurant type of cave, or should we find sustenance before we meet up?

I believe that the trip only serves food until 6pm.

Ah, Ye Olde Trip - a splendid establishment. I recall a very fine evening there several years ago, followed by a rather lively Jal-Frezi in a nearby Indian (Koh-i-Noor?).

Most envious of you chaps meeting up there!

Just found this back at the start of the thread, is it still there? If so all my food worries are sorted, I cannot remember how many years it has been since I followed a few beers with a good curry, but it sounds like a plan.

Food is quite a loose term for what they serve.

I am in London on the 28th. WHat is that about?

There are a couple of curry houses near the trip. I hear good things about XXX Miles From Delhi but haven't been and the nearby Satna's is a run of the mill decent but nothing special place.

Alleged GOM meet - general format is pub, beers, fall over.

Ah! a good old fashioned yakking session, a piss up and a curry.

Just like the old days - "Blow inta yer bag officher? - Why, youse chips too 'ot then? har har!".

What are the cells like in Nottingham these days? not too crowded I hope.

With a bit of luck they may have just forgotten about my last visit there...

Fret not Dawn! I'm a pussycat really 8)
