I must follow and agree with what most of the posers on this forum say.

For goodness sake, say what YOU think, if a few arrogant sods take the
same stand on some issue or other, why do so many of you just say
nothing ?
There are several on this forum who are prepared to stand up against an
opinion upon which they have differing views, I applaud them. Everyone
knows who they are, they are who keep this forum interesting, without
them it will disappear. It would be nice if there were more of them.

I believe the term is "sycophant". Which makes you BoredWithJelly and I claim my £5.

In other news, are you sure your medication hasn't been accidentally swapped with tic-tacs old boy?

You can spend way too much of your life arguing with people.

But Victor, you know, I think you're right.

In that case, so do I.

More arguments, fist fights, all round rough-housing and maybe even a little debate please.

Glad you boyos know what I mean, no vicious stuff, just a bit of action for
Christs sake. Being on this forum has become like reading the 'Womans Own'.
And yes I have caught a glimpse of Mrs. Fawltys favourite reading, after
all, us blokes must show our feminine side (and all that bollocks).

I suppose what I'm trying to say is more real talk and humour, and less frivolous airhead waffle.

Darwin, you've long been the most amusing poster on this forum, but you
can go off people you know !

Thank you Victor.

There has been a lack of genuine debate and grumpiness of late - I'm sure this has contributed to the hibernation of the likes of Stressed Ghengis etc.

And no - I'm not agreeing for the sake of it either before you start on that one!

I was just agreeing to annoy him, but I do think he is right.

I've posted two grumps today. One was intended to try and get a rise and the other was very genuine. About four responses on each. One of us needs to try harder. Could be me.

Agreed - the problem is that genuine grumps don't attract the following they used to.

Too much emphasis on quantity rather than quality I fear.

Personally I would have mucked in Iain, but got way laid by a three hour board (bored?) meeting.

The gun crime thread could have had more mileage, but I fear everyone is rather tired of the civil liberties debate for now. Plus Foxtrot is away on holiday.

Emphasis? From whom?

I blame Nick. He's started threads on everything around him since the incident with the sander. I think he may finally have had a nervous breakdown.

There has been a trend of late, where serious grumps can tend to get buried beneath general chit-chat.

The one liners and quips, because of their frequency, can have the effect of pushing heavier topics down the list quite rapidly.

Because it is important to give reasoned repsonses to certain heavier topics, it takes longer to repsond an the posts can become longer too.

Anyone popping into the forum then may disregard a serious thread, because it look like it's a long way down the list.

Also, a number of the members have been around a while and now 'know' each other fairly well. This has led, in my view, to general gossip and chatter to become the order of the day.

Didn't mcfly get banned for posting midget porn?

Or horse porn.

Either way, good riddance to a bad poster.
