Now that is better, a bit of an argument! Pity that you had to stoop to insults though, and the grammar, syntax and spelling could all do with a polish.

However, do not give up hope, I was as raw as you - once!

Naturally we are in awe of your command of the English language. Why until yesterday, until you wrote it, I was unaware that the word sceptible even existed.

Of course my three dictionaries, thesaurus and spell checker didn't know either. Just shows what you can learn from being in the company of greatness.

It was a typo Pete. There were four others in the piece, did you not see them? Obviously I forget to check it. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Now, do you have anything of substance to add to the thread, or did you just come here to play!

Could not agree more Pa. Although one of the worst offenders myself it seems to be most important to pick holes in postings and spelling that the content of the post. Perhaps they do not like the post, or the poster so bugger up or divert it from sense. Still if it makes them happy. But there are a lot of very good grumps taken of track,

Do come off it pa,. The thread got off to a piss poor start anyway. The OP was incoherent, badly argued, poorly constructed, and the basic premise lacked substance. You waded in, calling Times readers "morons". I protested this and asked you to support your arguments, you could not and proceeded to insult me.

It is you Sir who sunk this thread, by your inability to muster your arguments, by your failure to engage in reasoned debate, and by your ill-advised decision to taunt an oponent well above your league. I am quite happy to enter into a battle of wits with you Sir, but it would appear that half of your troops have gone A.W.O.L.

I stated Dipso that newspapers would put whatever it takes to grab the punters attention and therfore coherce them into buying that particular publication. What that attention grabber is, is debatable. I for one would not but any publication that has nudes on the front or "jordan" etc. I therfore would not buya newspaper with Buzz whatever on the front page. Surely this supports my argument that people/ mornons will but a publication based on some attraction that has no real bearing on our lives.

As for an insult on you dipsy I have never insulted any one on this forum.
I would not either as I personal don't know you as we all hide behind an "avatar".

If I was to meet you, then I'm sure that I would slap you round the face with your white gloves and we would be duelling at dawn :P

So, when you said this

Maybe Dippsy you should shelf page 3, or have you progressed to "Hello"

you were not insulting my intelligence.

I do not hide behind anything, I post under my own name, which is in the 'phone book and my time in the Diplomatic Service is a matter of public record.
